Mae West: Sparkle

Borrowing the title of MAE WEST's 1938 movie "Every Day's a Holiday," during the 12 days of Christmas - - when every day is a holiday - - we might be reminded of the kindness that Mae extended to all of her friends and loved ones.
• • Cancelled checks floating through the E-Bay network indicate that Mae often wrote checks to tip people generously.
• • Mae often donated her used cars to a local convent, explaining that she didn't like to see a nun waiting for a bus.
• • Why not extend a little a-MAE-zing kindness to your own community this month?
• • Be good to yourself, too. Buy or rent "Every Day's a Holiday" - - which opens on 31 December 1899 as con artist Peaches O'Day [Mae West] is selling the Brooklyn Bridge to some tourists. S/he who laughs lasts.
