Mae West: Sex Over-Drive

On Friday, 12 October 1973, an intriguing article was published about MAE WEST.  Celebrity interviewer Norma Lee Browning [24 November 1914 — 11 June 2001], who shared Mae's passion for spirits, psychics, and the occult, had several wonderful conversations with the movie queen during her stint as a Hollywood chronicler, 1966—1976. Let's enjoy it together.

• • Mae West continued, "I've  got so many teen-age fans who send me letters sayin’ how mad they are that they couldn't see me in my latest." 
• • Norma Lee Browning added:   By that she meant in the film “Myra Breckinridge.”
• • Mae West continued,  "One 14-year-old boy even put on a white beard and a wig and sneaked in that way. I have three secretaries to answer ail my letters.  I get hundreds every week, mostly from young people I keep them all. I put them in my scrapbooks. I get letters from older people, too, but those I don’t save."
