MAE WEST appeared on the cover of the April 1935 issue of Movie Mirror. This popular fan magazine was published in New York under the imprint of Bernarr Macfadden. Mae had first encountered a number of Macfadden's reporters when they covered her courtroom battles during the 1920s for the successful scandal-sheet The New York Evening Graphic (published 1924 — 1932).

Unlike many blogs, which draw upon reprinted content from a newspaper or a magazine and/ or summaries, links, or photos, the mainstay of this blog is its fresh material focused on the life and career of Mae West, herself an American original.
