On Saturday, 28 July 1934, MAE WEST's fan base in New Zealand was excited to read this. This is Part 1 of two excerpts.
• • Mae West's Plans • •
• • Films and Holidays • •
• • Successful Church Protest • •
• • Although Mae West has not yet completed her next picture, "It's No Sin" (re-titled from "It Ain't No Sin") she is far ahead in plans for future films.
• • Her next will be "The Queen of Sheba," from a story by David Boehm, and a few days ago her studio purchased on her recommendation a new type of story for her. This is the story of an American actress who, during a triumphal tour of Europe, almost wins a kingdom from a monarch. Miss West will again write the screenplay, as she has done for all her pictures. Meanwhile "It's No Sin" is rapidly nearing completion. When it is finished, Miss West will go for a short rest to her orange grove, which she recently purchased.
• • With Papal Approval • • . . .
• • To be concluded tomorrow.
