A very long article about MAE WEST and her career in Tinseltown appeared five years ago.  It was written by Paul Phaneuf. Let's pick this up again and enjoy it together. This is Part 47.

• • Paul Phaneuf wrote:   This time out, Breen had no major complaints, and he wrote to his boss Will Hays, "This latest Mae West picture has been handled satisfactorily." Paramount had "avoided the more serious difficulties that have attended some of this star's previous pictures." He did, however, delete a scene in which Mae's horse, Cactus, is shown in her bed! And reflecting politic sensitivities, a South American gigolo was changed to Russian!
