MAE WEST will be brought back to the stage during two cabaret performances in Sydney, Australia this weekend. Plan ahead.
• • "Don’t Bother To Knock" is ‘hosted’ by Helen Dallimore, who then transforms into the four platinum pioneers who went before her — — Mae West, Marilyn Monroe, Dolly Parton and Madonna. Utilising little more than blonde wigs, a microphone and a little complimentary lighting — — Miss Dallimore makes these blazing, brazen blondes come alive on stage. Featuring a host of each star’s iconic songs (as well as a few surprises), "Don’t Bother to Knock" gives the audience a fresh appreciation of what made these women genuine trail-blazers.
• • When: On Saturday, 18 June 2016 from 9pm to 11pm and again on Sunday 19 June 2016 from 8pm to 10pm.
• • Where: Hayes Theatre Co., 19 Greenknowe Avenue, Potts Point, Sydney, Australia

Unlike many blogs, which draw upon reprinted content from a
newspaper or a magazine and/ or summaries, links, or photos, the
mainstay of this blog is its fresh material focused on the life and
career of Mae West, herself an American original.
