• • Frank Wallace, who says he is the husband of actress Mae West, sued her business manager, James Timony, and five John Does for $105,000 damages today. Wallace charged in his complaint that soon after Timony became business manager for Miss West "he assumed the relationship of a common-law husband of plaintiff's wife and has resided with her continuously and prevents him (Wallace) from talking to her or otherwise communicating with her." Wallace also charged that Timony had called him names and had tried to prevent him from following a career as an actor, threatening to "knock his head off" and calling him a "no good bum."
