• • In 1975, Denny Gable appeared as himself onscreen in the documentary "Pumping Iron." He posed for magazines and scored the front cover of Muscle Builder [September 1975 issue, Vol. 16, No. 5]. Wow!
• • Three years later, he had the privilege of working with Mae West in her last movie, "Sextette."

• • Mae West said: "You can overcome any obstacle if you try hard enough. When I was appearing in vaudeville, for instance, they gave me skits that were dull and ordinary, regular routine stuff. I complained that I'd be a flop in no time with such acts. I demanded something really original. They laughed at me. So I went home and wrote one of my own. That's how I happened to start writing."

• • A newspaper in Australia wrote about Mae West.
• • "Mae West Achieves Fame With Her Books" • •
• • Sunday Times explained: "She Done Him Wrong," the novel based on Miss West's picture, which skyrocketed her to film fame, already is one of the world's best-sellers, and nearly a million copies have been sold. At present the star is at work on a new book, "How to Misbehave," and is contemplating novelising her original screen story, "I'm No Angel." If she finds time, it is expected that she will write a novel based on her screen drama of the Naughty Nineties, "It Ain't No Sin." . . .
