• • Roger Imhof [15 August 1875 — 15 April 1958] • •

• • Born in Rock Island, Illinois on Sunday, 15 August 1875 was a darling boy named  Frederick Roger Imhof. Off he went to join the circus, the Mills Orton Circus, becoming a clown. Between 1895 — 1930, he would be an active trouper plying the variety and burlesque circuits as he sharpened a wide range of skills from comic bits to contortion.
• • By 1932, he was 57 years old when he decided to pursue the screen trade, scoring featured roles in dramas, thrillers, and comedies.
• • In 1937, he was cast in the role of Trigger Mike in "Every Day's a Holiday" starring Mae West.
• • From 1932 — 1944, Roger Imhof was cast as an actor in 55 motion pictures.
• • At the age of 69, he bid a fond farewell to his fans in a big-budget film about an American president "Wilson" [1944]. Imhof's cast mates in "Wilson" included a number of character actors and supporting players who had the privilege of working with Mae West: Eddie Borden, Frederick Burton, Gino Corrado, Lester Dorr, Sam Flint, Francis Ford, Roy Gordon, Danny Jackson, and Dewey Robinson.
• • Roger Imhof died in Hollywood, California  on Tuesday, 15 April 1958. He was 82.
